Teams and Committees

Teams are comprised of the Leadership Team, the Compliance Certification Team, and the Quality Enhancement Plan Task Force. 

Texas State Leadership Team

The Leadership Team manages and validates the internal institutional assessment of compliance with the Principles of Accreditation. The Team has the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the internal review process
  • Oversee the institutional review of the extent of compliance
  • Ensure that the institutional community is engaged and informed in the review process
  • Oversee completion and accuracy of the Institutional Summary Form
  • Develop Focused Reports, if the institution so chooses
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
  • Oversee arrangement for the on-site visit
  • Ensure the appropriate follow-up activities are in place to address compliance issues

Quality Enhancement Plan Members

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Task Force is comprised of members representing a variety of constituent groups related to the selected QEP topic who are charged with developing the Quality Enhancement Plan.

Compliance Certification Team

The Compliance Certification Team is a fifteen-member team of persons who have a key role in addressing issues and drafting narratives related to SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation. The team has the following responsibilities:

  • Interpret Principles of Accreditation
  • Identify evidence to support each standard
  • Assign specific tasks to staff and faculty, not on the Compliance Certification Team, who have been identified as having responsibility for a particular area addressed in a specific standard
  • Certify the quality and integrity of the data and information
  • Conduct the analysis of compliance to ascertain extent of compliance (compliance, partial compliance, or non-compliance)
  • Prepare draft narrative
