Frequently Asked Questions

  • Information submitted in annual plan progress reports is based on the prior fiscal year. For example, plan progress for FY21 should report tasks accomplished from September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021.

  • Progress reports for the previous fiscal year are due December 1 of each year. Progress reports should be sent to wuest@txstate.edu. 

  • Divisions and colleges submit their original strategic plans, and each area reviews their individual strategic plan in year three, during the mid-cycle review. At this point, division and colleges can choose to update their initiatives, or can choose to leave the document as is. Final plans are published on the University Planning Website. 

    Separate templates for reporting division and college progress are provided annually by the Office of University Planning and Assessment.

  • The mid-cycle review is an update of the approved university and strategic plans. Divisions and colleges update their strategic plans, and the President's Cabinet reviews and updates university plan. These updated documents take the place of the original university and strategic plans. 

  • Previous progress reports can be found in the plan progress report web page which houses the university, division, and college plan progress reports by academic year.  

  • The university plan, developed through ongoing, comprehensive and integrated research-based planning and evaluation, consists of an operational plan that links to the administrative decision-making process and provides a sound basis for budgetary decisions and resource allocations. The plan is compiled by the Office of University Planning and Assessment. 

    The master plan consists of a physical landscape and building planning plan that is compiled by the Division of Finance and Support Services to support the infrastructure aspect of the university plan.
